Ubisoft will give a miss to its annual showcase, titled Ubisoft Forward, in 2025, according to a report from Game File founder Stephen Totilo, posted on Bluesky.
Instead, according to Totilo the company will participate in IGN Live on June 7, 2025 and the PC Gaming Show on June 8, 2025, as well as GamesCom in August 2025.
Launched in 2020, Ubisoft Forward generally included most of the company’s biggest game reveals and announcements. It is worth noting that the skip in 2025 comes on the heels of Ubisoft announcing a delay of some titles that were in the company’s release pipeline.
In 2024, Ubisoft Forward’s official livestream took place on June 10, showcasing the company’s major titles such as Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, XDefiant, and The Crew Motorfest. Notably, viewers who watched the event via Twitch could earn in-game rewards through Twitch Drops.
Notably, besides Ubisoft, one more company gives a miss to its annual event in 2025, as Blizzard Entertainment rescheduled BlizzCon for 2026, skipping the second year in a row.
The news is coming hours before the second Sony’s State of Play in 2025, which follows a record-breaking showcase that hit 2.18 million peak concurrent viewers on Feb. 12, 2025.
