Dredge and Balatro Appear Among Winners of Apple WWDC25 Design Awards

Twelve apps and games were recognized across six categories at the Apple WWDC25 Design Awards, including Dredge and Balatro.
The winners were chosen from 36 finalists, and the awards were distributed to one app and one game per category.
Balatro, developed by LocalThunk and published by Playstack, won in the category titled Delight and Fun, along with CapWords Developer by HappyPlan Tech.
As of the time of writing, Balatro has won 17 different industry awards across multiple categories and received three honorable mentions at award ceremonies. On top of that, by January 2025, the game had sold over 5 million copies.
PBJ — The Musical by Philipp Stollenmayer won in the Innovation category, along with the app by Rabbit 3 Times titled Play.
Dredge, developed by Black Salt Games and published by Team17, won in the category titled Interaction along with the app Taobao by Zhejiang Taobao Network.
This award became the second for the title, which is about to receive a live-action film adaptation by the production company Story Kitchen.
Art of Fauna by Klemens Strasser won in the category titled Inclusivity, along with the app Speechify by the same-named developer.

Neva, developed by Nomada Studio and published by Devolver Digital, won in the category titled Social Impact, along with the app Watch Duty by Sherwood Forestry Service.
As of the time of writing, the game has won 4 different industry awards across multiple categories and received two honorable mentions at award ceremonies.
Infinity Nikki, developed and published by Infold Games, won in the category titled Visuals and Graphics, along with the app Feather: Draw in 3D by Sketchsoft.
