Digimon Story: Time Stranger by Bandai Namco is set for release on October 3, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, as was announced during Sony’s State of Play on June 4, 2025.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is an RPG with turn-based battles built around the deep bond between human characters and Digimon. The game’s story will follow the mystery of the world’s collapse and span across the human world and the Digital World.

Digimon is short for Digital Monsters, mysterious lifeforms that reside within a parallel universe called the Digital World. The number of Digimon species continuously increases as the Digital World expands each year.

After encountering Digimon in battle, players can collect them and then raise them through evolution, devolution, and customization, creating a teammate suited to the user’s playstyle. Notably, Digimon have no limits in evolving. On top of that, the growth of the human character and the strength of their bond with Digimon will also affect their power and battle abilities.
