Surgent Studios’ next project is Dead Take, a horror game slated to release for PC in 2025. Console ports of the game have not been confirmed. The studio opted to partner with Pocketpair, the company responsible for the creation of Palworld, instead of working with EA,  the studio’s previous publishing partner.

Dead Take’s announcement trailer shows no gameplay. It reveals in-game models and stills, and very little else. In Dead Take, the player controls an actor who has become uneasy after their friend has not answered the phone. The actor proceeds into a haunted house, solving object-based puzzles to uncover the truth, according to the game’s Steam posting

  • Memory: 8 GB RAM

  • Storage: 15 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

Surgent Studios’ most recent video game title is Tales of Kenzera: ZAU – a title that released in 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S. The studio also creates films; their main focus is on storytelling across platforms. As for Pocketpair Publishing, the company is known best for its financial success with the creation of Palworld. The company is undergoing an extensive legal battle against Nintendo
