Rocket Boy’s Chief Legal Officer Riley Graebner and Chief Financial Officer Paul Bland departed the company. The news was revealed on June 2, a little over a week before the studio’s upcoming title, MindsEye, releases on June 10, 2025.
The CLO announced his departure on LinkedIn, where he also thanked his legal team.
“After three and a half years my time at BARB ahsc eomt o a close. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. Duirng that time we more than doubled the size of the company to over 450 employees,” the post reads.
“I’m beyond excited for what’s next – but currently operating in stealth mode for a while longer,” he concluded, opting to not provide a reason for the departure but alluding to future unannounced plans.
As for Paul Bland, the Chief Financial Officer for Havas Media Network, he did not provide an update on the evolving circumstances on social media. No exact reason for departure has been provided.
MindsEye saw a wave of early negative feedback. In response to the criticism, Build A Rocket Boy’s co-CEO Mark Herhard claimed the criticism wasn’t organic – but rather the result of a deliberate campaign against the studio, orchestrated by paid actors and bot activity.
MindsEye is an upcoming third-person action-adventure set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with publishing handled by IO Interactive.
