Epic Games to Remove Fortnite OG Ranked Game Mode

Epic Games is to remove Fortnite OG ranked towards the end of the season at around June 7. The date is indicated by the end of Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 3, which Gamerant believes to be on June 7 at 2 pm ET; they source the OG pass end date. Though the ranked mode departs, the normal Fortnite OG mode will still exist.
Despite the removal of ranked, “competitive events focused on Fortnite OG will still be regularly available,” the official Fortnite Status Twitter page stated. The exact cause for the removal of ranked mode has not been revealed, but Insider-Gaming speculates that it was due to a lower volume of players.
Fortnite OG Season 4 begins with the collision of the flying comet; its impact marked the conclusion of Season 3, changing the very terrain and transitioning the game into Season 4.
