Key points
  1. Arslan Ash won Battle Arena Melbourne 15 Tekken 8 over Farzeen.
  2. He went to the top 8 through the losers bracket, which meant he had to play more games, thus having a harder path to victory.
  3. Tekken’s next big tournament is CEO 2025, which will be held in Orlando on June 13, 2025.

Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique won Battle Arena Melbourne 15’s Tekken 8 bracket over Muhammad “Farzeen” Farzeen after being sent to the losers bracket right before the top 8. Arslan showed his prowess in adaptation, which Farzeen seemed to have no answers to.

Just before the top 8, Arslan was matched against Yuta “Chikurin” Take, who plays Clive. Winning the match would have sent him to the top 8 on the winners side of the bracket; however, he was defeated by the Japanese player and was sent to the losers bracket, where he had to fight Alisa player Kang “Chanel” Seong-ho to qualify for the top 8, albeit on the losers side.

In the top 8, he had to fight against Takaba “Keisuke” Keisuke, Daichi “Nobi” Nakayama, Jeong “Rangchu” Hyeon-ho and Lim “Ulsan” Soo-hoon before heading to the grand final for a showdown against Farzeen.

The first set was a close 3-2, with both of them trading games. However, during the grand final reset, Arslan dominated Farzeen, prompting the latter to switch to a character he seldomly plays, Reina. The decision did not pan out well for Farzeen, as Arslan continued his dominance and finished the tournament with a 3-0 win over Farzeen.

This event also handed out Esports World Cup invitations to those in the top 8 who hadn’t earned a qualification. Here are the three newly invited players to the championship:

  • Muhammad “Farzeen” Farzeen
  • Daichi “Nobi” Nakayama
  • Yuta “Chikurin” Take
  • Takaba “Keisuke” Keisuke

Tekken’s next big tournament is CEO 2025, which will be held in Orlando on June 13, 2025.
