Kuro Games has announced that Wuthering Waves Version 2.4 will launch on June 12, 2025, introducing the long-awaited Septimont region, two new 5-star characters, expanded events and system improvements across PC, PS5, iOS and Android.
The update adds a major new area to the game: Septimont, the second city-state of Rinascita. The story follows Rover and the newly playable Cartethyia as they face new threats and take part in the city’s gladiatorial tournament, the Agon.
The developers also shared three redemption codes during the Wuthering Waves 2.4 livestream:
SHADOWOFGLORY: Astrite x 100, Premium Resonance Potion x4, Advanced Energy Core x5
FLAMESOFHEART: Astrite x 100, Forgery Premium Supply x 2, Shell Credit x 40,000
AGONISON: Astrite x100, Weekly Challenge Supply Pack x1, Advanced Sealed Tube x2
Two new characters join the roster: Cartethyia (Aero, Sword) in Phase 1 and Lupa (Fusion, Broadblade) in Phase 2, each launching alongside their signature 5-star weapons. The update also introduces multiple limited-time events, including the combat-focused “All Out! Towards the Peaks of Prestige” and several exploration events set in Septimont.
Version 2.4 brings eight new Echoes (character powers obtained from defeating enemies), a new boss encounter, two new Sonata Effect sets (Windward Pilgrimage and Flaming Clawprint) and premium summer-themed skins for Changli and Carlotta. Players can also expect quality-of-life upgrades such as Quest Focus Mode, improved environment interaction, new build guides and global visual filters.
Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play open-world action RPG from Kuro Games, launched in May 2024 for PC, mobile and later PlayStation 5 and Steam. The game quickly gained traction with over 30 million downloads in its first month and draws comparisons to Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
