Valve Introduces Souvenir Highlight Packages Ahead of CS2 Austin Major 2025

In a post on Steam, Valve mentioned that it’s introducing souvenir highlight packages ahead of the Counter-Strike 2 Austin Major 2025. These packages contain a souvenir weapon with an attached charm that features a video highlight from the playoff map the player has selected.
Players who have activated their Austin 2025 Viewer Pass and have set up Pick’Ems before the start of the event are able to upgrade their Challenge Coin and earn Souvenir Tokens. Additionally, players can claim mementos from matches of their choice.
However, if they picked a playoff stage match, they will receive the new souvenir highlight package containing the aforementioned rewards. Valve mentioned that the weapon’s description will have information regarding the highlight, and people can view the highlight either through their inventory or when spectating a teammate.
Valve did not clarify how the highlights will be chosen or if the player themselves can choose a match highlight or which player’s match highlight they’d like to get.
Blast.tv Austin Major 2025 starts on June 3. The playoffs stage will start on June 19 and end on June 22. This major sees the return of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev, widely considered as one of the best Counter-Strike players in the world, playing for FaZe Clan.
