Steam Deck Gets Native GeForce NOW App With 4K Streaming and Better Battery Life

|
- New GeForce NOW app enables 4K/60FPS game streaming on Steam Deck with HDR, DLSS 4, and Reflex support.
- Streaming through the app can extend battery life by up to 50%, according to Nvidia.
- Over 2,200 games supported across multiple game libraries.
Nvidia has launched a native GeForce NOW app for the Steam Deck. Announced earlier this year at CES 2025, the new app lets players stream titles at up to 4K resolution (Steamdeck’s native resolution is 1280 x 800) and 60FPS, with support for features like HDR (OLED version only), DLSS 4, and Nvidia Reflex.
Nvidia claims that beyond visuals, the app offers practical benefits. According to GeForce NOW, streaming games instead of running them locally can boost battery life by as much as 50%.
The app opens access to more than 2,200 games from various libraries, including Steam, Epic, Ubisoft, Battle.net, and Xbox. That includes around 180 titles from PC Game Pass — many of which wouldn’t run well natively on the device because of hardware restrictions or incompatibility with Steamdeck OS.
The GeForce NOW app for Steam Deck is available now for download from NVIDIA’s official site, with setup instructions listed on the service’s support page.
