Another Voice Actor Confirms Existence of Persona 4 Remake

- Erin Fitzgerald confirmed she’s not returning to the Persona 4 remake.
- She voiced Chie Satonaka in the original.
- Persona 4 is a role-playing game developed by Atlus. It was initially released in 2008 for the PlayStation 2.
Erin Fitzgerald announced on Bluesky that she’s not reprising her role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake. The announcement came hours after Yuri Lowenthal revealed that he also won’t be coming back as Yosuke’s voice in the game.
“For those asking, I have not been asked to reprise my role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake,” the post read. She ended the short announcement by saying that she’s thankful for being able to record “as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her.”
These posts, which seemingly confirm the existence of a Persona 4 remake, stemmed from a now-deleted Yuri Lowenthal post on Bluesky telling his fans that he was rejected. “I asked. Maybe even begged, but they don’t want me to come back,” he told his fans on the social media platform.
Back in March, fans discovered a domain called p4re.jp, which hinted at the possibility of a Persona 4 remake happening, as this followed how Atlus announced the Persona 3 remake. The studio first registered a domain called p3re.jp before announcing the game.
In April, the p4re.jp domain moved over to Atlus-owned nameservers. With voice actors openly talking about how they didn’t get their roles back, it might not be a stretch of the imagination that a Persona 4 remake is being made and that an announcement might be on the horizon.
Persona 4 is a role-playing game developed by Atlus. It was initially released in 2008 for the PlayStation 2. An enhanced version of the game, called Persona 4 Golden, was released in 2012 for the PS Vita and on Steam in 2020. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S followed in January 2023.
