OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome Return to Steam After Roll7 Shutdown

- Both titles were delisted in February amid Take-Two’s closure of Roll7 and sale of Private Division.
- 2K is now listed as the publisher.
- The studio behind both games, Roll7, was shut down in late 2024.
Roll7’s OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome have returned to Steam, four months after being quietly delisted. The removal followed Take-Two Interactive’s late 2024 confirmation that it had shuttered both Roll7 and its indie-focused label, Private Division, and sold off most of the division’s catalog.
However, PC Gamer reports that the sale did not include OlliOlli World or Rollerdrome. Instead, the games have now reappeared on Steam under the publishing label of 2K, another Take-Two subsidiary. The reason for the four-month gap remains unclear, though it appears related to internal IP transfer logistics.
Both games were well received by critics when they launched in 2022 — OlliOlli World earned a Metacritic rating of 87, while Rollerdrome scored 81, both on PC. Despite their acclaim, neither title broke out commercially.
While praised for their innovation, both games struggled to reach a broad audience, partly due to their niche focus on skateboarding and roller skating and limited marketing support from the now-defunct Private Division label. According to multiple reports, this underperformance contributed to Take-Two Interactive’s decision to shut down Roll7 in 2024 as part of broader cost-cutting measures.
