Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Release Date Finally Announced by Square Enix

- Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is now available for pre-order.
- The Nintendo Switch 2 has also been added to the list of consoles on which the game will be available.
- The game is coming out on Oct. 30, 2025.
On May 27, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be available on Oct. 30, 2025. Fans are now able to pre-order the game and grab the Collector’s Edition exclusively on the Square Enix store.
The announcement was posted on Dragon Quest Day, which is on May 27. Additionally, Square Enix also added the Nintendo Switch 2 to the platforms the game is being released on. As such, it will now be available on the following consoles:
- Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch 2
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC (Steam and Microsoft Store)
Additionally, those who want to buy the Collector’s Edition will have to visit the Square Enix Store to pre-order it. The edition contains item bonuses both in-game and outside of the game, such as Elevating Shoes, Seed of Agility, an Outstanding Outfit Kit and some acrylic stands.
Owning the Erdrick Trilogy, which refers to the first three games of Dragon Quest, will also give the player additional bonuses in-game. Alongside that, those who bought the Collector’s Edition of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will be able to complete their collectible game case storage box with the addition of the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Collector’s Edition.
