Revenge of the Savage Planet has surpassed 1 million players, according to an official announcement on the game’s Steam page from the title’s developer and publisher, Raccoon Logic.
“We are super grateful to all the 1M players who have taken up revenge against Alta. Thank you for the support. On the team side, we are continuing to make fixes very regularly to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible. We’re also working on a roadmap for new features/updates/etc that we want to share with you very soon! In the meantime, keep kicking brainards, racccons, and decking out your habitat STV Cribs Style. The team loves seeing all your creations, gifs, memes, etc. Keep ‘em coming!” said the team, expressing its gratitude in the celebratory post.
It is worth noting that the game’s creative director, Alex Hutchinson, acknowledged the milestone but noted that the title’s presence on Xbox Game Pass means reaching 1 million players doesn’t bring the financial success it would have in the days before subscription services like Game Pass.
The sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet (2020) was released for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 8, 2025. In Revenge of the Savage Planet, the player assumes control of a space explorer who is abandoned by their employer on a remote planet with no gear or equipment and must now survive the hostile environments, repair their spacecraft, and find a way back to Earth to exact revenge.
