Retro Classics Comes to Xbox Game Pass Alongside Metaphor: ReFantazio and Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass rolls out a second batch of games coming in May 2025, including Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and To a T. On top of that, Retro Classics games become available to play for Xbox Game Pass members starting May 21, 2025.

Due to the collaboration between Xbox and Antstream Arcade, Game Pass members can dive into a collection of over 50 classic Activision games from the ’80s and ’90s, including such titles as Commando, Grand Prix, Kaboom!, Mech Warrior 2: 31st Century Combat, and Pitfall. This initiative reflects Microsoft’s commitment to game preservation and backward compatibility.

Monster Train 2 is available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass starting today, May 21, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass plans.

Developed by Shiny Shoe and published by Big Fan Games, this roguelike deck-building game with over 250 cards brings new clans, new enemy factions, and new modes, in addition to the features that were presented in the first part of the series.

Creatures of Ava is coming to Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Standard subscribers on May 22, 2025. Developed by Inverge Studios and published by 11 bit studios, the creature-saver game blends platforming, puzzles, and combat.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is also coming to Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Standard subscribers on May 22, 2025. Developed and published by GSC Game World, the first-person shooter with survival horror elements follows the story of Yevhen “Skif” Martynenko, who awakens in an apartment destroyed by an anomaly that has mysteriously appeared outside of the Zone.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau will become available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on May 22, 2025. Developed by Surgent Studios and published by Electronic Arts, the game follows the story of a young shaman named Zau, who must capture the spirits of three monsters as offerings to Kalunga, the God of Death, who has promised to revive his father.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers on May 27, 2025. The sequel to Tom Clancy’s The Division (2016) is set in a near-future Washington, D.C., in the aftermath of the release of a genetically engineered virus known as Green Poison, and follows an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division as they try to rebuild the city.

To a T will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on May 28, 2025. Developed by Uvula and published by Annapurna Interactive, the puzzle-adventure is the latest title from Keita Takahashi, creator and designer of the Katamari Damacy series. The game follows a story featuring the main character called Teen, who is stuck in a T-pose while navigating life in a small town with their dog companion.

Metaphor: ReFantazio, developed by Studio Zero and published by Atlus, will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers on May 29, 2025. The game is set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, a medieval fantasy realm mirroring the contemporary real world, after the assassination of its former king, and follows the protagonist, Will, an orphaned boy of the magic-wielding Elda tribe and the prince’s childhood friend.

On May 29, 2025, Spray Paint Simulator, developed by North Star Video Games and published by Whitethorn Games, will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Crypt Custodian, a metroidvania about cleaning up the afterlife developed by Kyle Thompson and published by Top Hat Studios, will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers on June 3, 2025.

Symphonia will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers on June 3, 2025. Developed by Sunny Peak and published by Headup and Beep Japan, the non-violent platformer allows players to use the power of the violin to gather an orchestra and bring the musical machinery of the world back to life.

On top of that, for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, 15 games are coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) on May 23, 2025.

Starting May 21, 2025, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can get a free in-game bundle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone, which includes two Operator Skins, four Weapon Blueprints, one Finishing Move, one Emote, two Weapon Charms, a Loading Screen, a Spray, a one-hour 2XP Token, and a one-hour 2WXP Token.

At the same time, Smite 2 players can claim the Summer Fun Medusa Drop, a reward that unlocks Medusa along with her stylish Summer Fun skin. Notably, this content requires Smite 2 to access.

Starting May 22, 2025, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can claim an exclusive Commander Outfit in a distinctive Xbox color, along with a Firefly Amitoi companion in Throne and Liberty. Please note that this content requires Throne and Liberty to access. Then, beginning May 29, 2025, players of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 can gear up with the Emergency Medical Services-inspired EMS Outfit, which includes a shirt, pants, hat, shoes, and glasses.
