Monster Hunter Wilds’ New Event Quest Rewards Players With Stylish Scarf

On May 21, Monster Hunter announced a new event quest featuring a Guardian Fulgur Anjanath. Slaying the monster will reward players with a Sealed Dragon Cloth material used to craft the Sealed Dragon Cloth α headgear.
The headgear is an oversized scarf, similar to Mikasa Ackerman’s from Attack on Titan or Strider Hiryu’s from Strider. Capcom seems to have targeted the fashion hunters in this addition, as the developers even made it a point to mention them in an X post.
For context, “fashion hunters” are Monster Hunter players who devote time to their in-game appearance while hunting.
The new event quest is named Running Wild and will be available for players starting at Hunter Rank 21. The quest takes place in the Ruins of Wyveria. Since the quest features a Guardian Fulgur Anjanath, its element will be thunder, not fire. Those who prefer using elemental weapons will find success using ice, water and dragon. Running Wild will be available starting today until June 3.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released on Feb. 28, 2025, for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game set a record for the highest number of sales at launch. It is also Capcom’s fastest-selling game, reaching 8 million copies sold in just three days.
