User spending in the match-3 mobile game Royal Match has surpassed $6 billion, contributing to the game’s continuing growth, according to the analytics service AppMagic.

Notably, the latest sixth billion was acquired by Royal Match in just four months, as AppMagic reported that the game reached the $5 billion milestone at the end of January 2025.

It is worth noting that after subtracting taxes and mobile store commissions from the $6 billion, Dream Games is left with a net IAP income from Royal Match of $3.6 billion, according to estimates from AppMagic.

Royal Match by Dream Games is a match-3 mobile game that follows the adventure of King Robert as he fixes his castle. The game is similar to titles such as Merge Mansion and Candy Crush Saga. The game was launched in early access mode for both Android and iOS in July 2020 and saw a full release on Feb. 25, 2021.

According to AppMagic, currently, only three mobile puzzles in the match-3 genre have higher earnings: Candy Crush Saga ($8 billion), Gardenscapes ($4 billion), and Homescapes ($4 billion).

As for downloads, to date, players worldwide have downloaded Royal Match over 351 million times.

A sequel, Royal Kingdom, starring King Robert’s younger brother King Richard, was released on November 21, 2024
