Naughty Dog Develops One More Game Besides Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Naughty Dog is currently working on one more title besides Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, according to the studio head and head of creative, Neil Druckmann.

In a recent interview with Press X to Continue, Druckmann revealed he is producing Naughty Dog’s unannounced game.

Neil said that there is another game being developed at Naughty Dog, in which he has more of a producer role, mentoring and observing another team, giving feedback, and acting as the executive in the room. Druckmann also mentioned that he enjoys combining the two roles in the studio and that switching between them makes him feel constantly fresh and never bored.

Notably, besides his producing role in the unannounced game and directing role in the upcoming Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Druckmann is also an executive producer and episode director on The Last of Us HBO show.

During the podcast conversation, Druckmann also expressed admiration for how far the gaming medium has come, particularly when reflecting on aspects of The Last of Us that fans favored in the game over the TV series adaptation.

“You can compare the two, and the game can sit side by side with an HBO show, and you can have this conversation, and even if people are critical of it, I just love it,” said Druckmann.

It is worth noting that Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 5. The game is set around 2,000 years in the future, in an alternate universe where advanced space travel existed by 1986. Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will follow veteran bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, who is stranded on a remote planet, Sempiria, while tracking the Five Aces criminal syndicate.
