Infinity Nikki Devs Apologize to Community After Cross Platform Review Bombs

|
- The Infinity Nikki development team apologized to the community on social media for “unsatisfactory content and unstable game environments.”
- To compensate for crashes, Infinity Nikki is extending in-game events.
- Infinity Nikki had changed the Pity system in the game, which was a focal point of many negative reviews; the feature was not addressed.
The Infinity Nikki development team issued a public apology on social media, where it acknowledged the poor state of the game after the latest update. The game was frequently crashing, resulting in the game becoming inaccessible to users.
“We fully acknowledge that this is our responsibility, and addressing these shortcomings remains a top priority for our team moving forward. Additionally, we encountered technical challenges during development that require more time to resolve thoroughly,” the post reads, justifying the reasoning for extending version 1.5’s end date to ensure stability and prevent crashes.
In the public apology, Infinity Nikki fails to address the monetization changes that were implemented. The monetization updates were a main focal point of recent critical reviews on Steam, the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
“INCREASED pity system despite needing 10 piece of outfit to complete a set. An average set completion is around 400$… (including all evolution),” a Steam review states.
“Many players, no matter the platform, couldn’t even get in the game. I haven’t even mentioned the new currency added for dyeing and other issues and the push to make players spend more money,” a Google Play review reads.
“Do not play this game. It is so greedy for your time and money,” an Apple App Store review warns.
Infinity Nikki currently has “Mostly Negative” Steam reviews and 1.5 stars on the Google Play Store. The game has a 4.0-star rating on Apple’s App Store, but the recent reviews are in the vast majority one and two stars.
