Tribe Nine Announces End of Service Three Months After Debut

On May 15, Tribe Nine developers announced on X that the game is closing down on Nov. 27, 2025. The game was released on Feb. 20, 2025, making it a very short run for a live service game. According to the developers, there will be no updates following the announcement.
The developers of the game, Too Kyo Games, mentioned that they had decided to end Tribe Nine’s service after careful consideration. This means that chapter four of the story is never going to be released. Additionally, characters that were originally scheduled to be released, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, are also being cancelled.
Regarding paid currencies, the developers actually cancelled them a day before announcing the game’s end of service. According to the memo they posted, paid Enigma Entities and Daily Passes are no longer being sold as of May 14.
Too Kyo Games has been open about the studio falling into debt due to the development of one of its recent games, The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy. Kazutaka Kodaka, CEO of Too Kyo Games, mentioned in an interview with Nintendo Life that the studio might go under if the game does not sell well.
The studio was formed by Japanese creators who have made iconic series. Kodaka was the person behind the creation of the Danganronpa series. Kotaro Uchikoshi, one of the other four founders of the studio, was the person behind the Zero Escape series. Both of these games have a dedicated following in Japan and overseas.
