- Stellar Blade’s PC port has been blocked on Steam and the Epic Games Store in over 100 countries ahead of launch on June 11, 2025.
- According to SteamDB, Stellar Blade has been restricted in 129 countries.
- Shift Up expects the PC version of Stellar Blade to outpace PS5 sales.
Stellar Blade’s PC port availability on Steam and the Epic Games Store has been blocked in over 100 countries ahead of the game’s release on June 11, 2025.
The problem was highlighted by X (formerly Twitter) users in responses to Stellar Blade’s official post of the PC version launch date reveal.
According to SteamDB, it appears Stellar Blade has been restricted in 129 countries, including the Philippines, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Lithuania. Notably, most of the countries on the list are locations where Sony’s PSN is unavailable. It seems that Stellar Blade is experiencing a similar issue, as Helldivers 2 did back in 2024 when the game got blocked in 172 countries due to PSN requirements. Although Shift Up has stated a PSN account is not required for Stellar Blade, a free bonus costume will be offered when a PSN account is linked to Steam.
It is worth noting that Shift Up earlier stated that it expects the PC version of Stellar Blade to outpace PS5 sales. Part of the company’s port strategy is to optimize the game for smooth performance on handheld systems like Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally.
As of June 2024, Shift Up announced that Stellar Blade had sold over 1 million copies worldwide within two months of its release on April 26, 2024. The game has since been bolstered by regular updates, including crossover DLC with Nier: Automata, holiday-themed content and new gameplay modes that are all promised by the developer to be included in the PC version.
