Through the summer and fall 2025 updates, Avowed will get a New Game+ mode and a photo mode. Besides that, the game’s NPCs will have new abilities and behaviors. The game will also see the addition of new character presets, Godlike features, weapons and the ability to change the character’s appearance.

As for the spring 2025 update, which was launched at the time of writing with patch 1.4, Obsidian has added an Arachnophobia mode, which allows the replacement of spiders with colorful orbs. Besides that, mouse and keyboard support for Xbox console players was added along with Fog of War improvements, more gold and crafting materials, and a bunch of bug fixes.
It is worth noting that the game’s developer has also announced in a recent blog post that it is working on delivering Korean, Japanese and French localizations to Avowed.
Set in the world of Eora, the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, Avowed was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios for Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S on Feb. 18, 2025. As of May 2025, Avowed has reached approximately 5.9 million players
