Nvidia has reportedly raised the prices of nearly all of its products, including gaming GPUs, to cushion the impact of Trump’s tariffs.
According to Digitimes Taiwan, Nvidia’s gaming graphics cards seem to receive a 5 to 10% hike while AI GPUs see up to a 15% increase as the company is facing a $5.5 billion hit to its quarterly earnings over export restrictions on AI chips along with a ban on sales in China of its H20 chips. The report outlines that RTX 5090 prices surged from approximately $2,780 to about $3,090.
Notably, despite the price increases, the report claims that Nvidia’s upcoming financial results should remain within forecasted expectations and show strong profits, fueled by high demand for AI chips outside China and growing investments from cloud service providers.
The news is coming on the heels of the other recent reports about Nvidia. According to Sanshang Daily, CEO Jensen Huang is expected to announce the opening of Nvidia’s global headquarters in Taiwan. The announcement will come as part of Huang’s visit to Taiwan for the Computex 2025 annual technology conference, which will be held in Taipei from May 20 to May 23, 2025.
