Gears of War: Reloaded Comes to Xbox, PlayStation and Steam in Summer 2025

Gears of War: Reloaded comes to Xbox, PlayStation and PC on Aug. 26, 2025, as was announced in the official blog post at Xbox Wire.
According to Mike Crump, Head of The Coalition studio, Gears of War: Reloaded is the original Gears of War title, which makes a return as faithfully remastered and natively optimized for multiple platforms installment.
The remaster will feature a price of $39.99 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox for PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5, and Steam. It will also be available on day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The developer states that Gears of War: Reloaded has been re-engineered to feature 4K resolution and smooth gameplay at 60fps in the Campaign and up to 120fps in Multiplayer. Notably, there will be zero loading screens during the Campaign.

On top of that, the game is about to feature High Dynamic Range (HDR) along with support for Dolby Vision and immersive 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound, as well as 7.1.4 3D Spatial Audio. Besides that, the game will offer Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), 4K resolution, and remastered textures.
Mike Crump also highlighted that Gears of War: Reloaded will feature enhanced post-processing effects, improved shadows and reflections, and super-resolution with refined anti-aliasing.
The original Gears of War was a third-person shooter video game developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios in 2006 as an exclusive title for the Xbox 360. The game sold more than three million copies within ten weeks of release and became the fastest-selling video game of 2006. By November 2008, total sales of the original Gears of War had reached approximately 5.88 million units globally.
