Team Liquid ended its losing streak against Paravision at PGL Wallachia Season 4 by taking the final win and denying a reverse sweep from happening. Their win here makes them the back-to-back champions of PGL Wallachia.

Paravision had a great run in the tournament, sweeping its competition to the side, including Team Liquid, which they sent to the lower bracket during the upper bracket final. Team Liquid fought against Tundra Esports and won 2-0, which granted them a second chance at redemption against Paravision.

The Grand Final started with Team Liquid winning the first two games. But Paravision answered with a swift two-game winning streak, threatening Team Liquid with a potential reverse sweep. The boys in blue jerseys had to fight a grueling 72-minute game to close the series 3-2.

Exhilarating grand final match aside, a serious Dota 2 bug happened during Aurora Gaming and Paravision’s match. After Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko took the Devil’s Bargain facet on Doom, he was not able to buy it back at a crucial time due to the facet not working properly and making his buyback cost more than it was supposed to.

The tournament organizers, PGL, decided to resume the game. But Paravision could not attack Aurora Gaming or push for 95 seconds, so Doom was able to respawn. Aurora Gaming did not agree with the decision and forfeited the match, which sent them to the lower bracket of the tournament.

Team Liquid took home $300,000 from the $1-million prize pool of the tournament. Paravision took home $175,000, while Tundra Esports pocketed $120,000 in third place. The next tier 1 Dota 2 tournament is Blast Slam III.
