Sony surprised gamers in Canada and Australia with a hike in price for PlayStation Plus Subscriptions. The hike in price was revealed on April 14, 2025. The price for Canada’s PlayStation Plus subscriptions increases are showcased below:
- PlayStation Plus Essential 12-month subscription: $110 from previous $95
- PlayStation Plus Extra 12-month subscription: $190 from previous $155
- PlayStation Plus Premium 12-month subscription: $225 from previous $190
The exact details for the Australian increase are not readily available – but a gamer did share an email revealing the new price for the PlayStation Plus Deluxe 12 month subscription, which costs AUD 214.95. They did not share the previous value before the increase. The Reddit post has amassed 25 thousand upvotes, with the top comment stating “Pay has no limits.”
