- Bandai Namco introduces a new character to Elden Ring: Nightreign, called Raider.
- Fans theorize that this character is going to be a strength build.
- Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to release on May 30 for the PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
Bandai Namco uploaded a video on April 15 showcasing the new class joining the Elden Ring: Nightreign roster, Raider. The class is theorized by fans to be a strength build character due to their weapon, an Axe, and their demeanor being more brutish than the others.
The Raider swings a large Axe to battle and has a Barbarian-esque aesthetic and feel to him. He uses his whole body as a weapon, headbutting enemies and even uppercutting a dragon. As such, fans have concluded that this might be the first strength build character to be introduced in the game.
His ultimate allows him to summon a wall that can be climbed by players to give them an advantage in boss fights. In the trailer, the Ironeye can be seen climbing the wall and shooting the boss on top of it. The Raider, on the other hand, leaps off the wall to deal damage to the boss in close quarters.
With the addition of the Raider, the roster now has six characters:
- Wylder
- Guardian
- Recluse
- Duchess
- Ironeye
- Raider
Eurogamer has reported that some players have spotted a character in the game’s initial trailer wearing gold armor and holding a katana with gold magic. They mentioned that there is a possibility that this hints at a faith build character joining the roster.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to release on May 30, 2025, for the PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
