Bionic Bay to Make PlayStation Legend Shuhei Yoshida a Playable Character

Bionic Bay is about to feature a playable character based on former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida, according to the PlayStation Blog written by game’s creative director Juhana Myllys.

Upcoming on April 17, 2025 hand-crafted pixel-art platformer developed by Psychoflow Studio and Mureena Oy with Kepler Interactive as publisher will be implementing a special level just for Shuhei Yoshida within the online challenge mode.

For those who will manage to beat Yoshida’s score, the game will unlock Shuhei’s skin, allowing to customize the look of the scientist for online leaderboards.

Bionic Bay won’t be Yoshida’s first appearance in the video game. In January 2025, he joined the voice acting cast of Promise Mascot Agency, lending his vocals to MonouGe, a cheerful, bright green, bird-like mascot who loves video games.
