GTA V Leads Game Pass Update with Day One Release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass rolls out a list of games upcoming in April 2025, including Grand Theft Auto V, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game and the day-one release of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

The seventh main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, following 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV, and the fifteenth installment overall Grand Theft Auto V, developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games in 2013, is available on Cloud, Console, and PC via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass starting today, April 15, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard plans.

Set within the fictional state of San Andreas, based in Southern California, the single-player game’s story follows three protagonists, retired bank robber Michael De Santa, street gangster Franklin Clinton, and drug dealer and gunrunner Trevor Philips, and their attempts to commit heists while under pressure from a corrupt government agency and powerful criminals.

Neon White is a first-person shooter and puzzle-platforming game developed by Angel Matrix and published by Annapurna Interactive is coming for Console on April 16, 2025, within Game Pass Standard.

Released on June 16, 2022, Neon White is designed around speedrunning. The game puts players in the role of a Neon, tasked with clearing all the demons within a level in the fastest time possible.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass starting on April 16, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard plans.

Developed by PHL Collective and published by Outright Games this third-person physics-based sandbox game where players can interact with almost everything in the world of Bikini Bottom was released on Oct. 4, 2024.

Crime Scene Cleaner will become available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass starting on April 17, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass plans.

The game puts players in the role of a man who needs to clean blood, pack up bodies, and remove any odor at the crime scenes left behind by major and minor criminals to get some money for his daughter’s hospital stays.

Tempopo is coming to Xbox Game Pass on its launch day, April 17, 2025, and will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass plans.

Developed by Witch Beam with CULT Games as publisher Tempopo is a casual game where you conduct chaotic creatures to rescue musical flowers in a colorful sky. The game features a relaxing soundtrack, a cozy grid-based movement, and a seasonal puzzle system.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a role-playing video game developed by Sandfall Interactive with Kepler Interactive as the publisher, is coming on day one on April 24, 2025, and will be available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass plans.

Turn-based RPG with real-time mechanics takes place in a dark fantasy Belle Époque setting. The game will allow players to lead an expedition in an attempt to stop the Paintress, whose god-like powers can kill everyone of a given age she draws on her dwelling, a giant monolith.

Towerborne, a free-to-play side-scrolling action role-playing video game developed by Stoic and published by Xbox Game Studios, will be available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass plans starting on April 29, 2025.

The game takes place in the City of Numbers, a post-apocalyptical fantasy world overwhelmed by monsters. The heroes of Towerborne, known as Aces, must set out to reclaim lost territories and make the land safe.

Far Cry 4, a first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft in 2014, the successor to the 2012 video game Far Cry 3, and the fourth main installment in the Far Cry series will become available on Cloud, Console, and PC via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass starting on April 30, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard plans.

Set in the fictional Himalayan country of Kyrat, the game follows Ajay Ghale, a young Kyrati-American, who becomes caught in a Civil war between Kyrat’s Royal Army, controlled by the tyrannical king Pagan Min, and a rebel movement called the Golden Path.

The nineteenth installment of the Call of Duty series, which is serving as a sequel to the 2019 reboot of the Modern Warfare sub-series, first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision in 2022, is coming to Cloud, Console, and PC on May 1, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass plans.

Like its predecessor, the game takes place in a realistic and modern setting. The campaign follows multi-national special operations unit Task Force 141 and Mexican Special Forces unit Los Vaqueros as they attempt to track down terrorist leader Hassan Zyani, who is in possession of American-made ballistic missiles.

The seventh game in the Anno series, Anno 1800, a city-building real-time strategy video game developed by Ubisoft Blue Byte and published by Ubisoft in 2019, is coming to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 1, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard plans.

Taking place during the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century, the game returns to the series’ traditional city-building and ocean combat mechanics but introduces new aspects of gameplay, such as tourism, blueprinting, and the effects of industrialization influences on island inhabitants.

A fishing horror role-playing adventure developed by Black Salt Games and published by Team17 in 2023, Dredge is coming to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 6, 2025, for subscribers of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard plans.

Dredge sees the player control a small motorized fishing boat. The game takes place on a day–night cycle, where specific actions the player takes, such as sailing or fishing, push the clock forward.

On top of all the above-mentioned titles, on April 25,2025, Forza Horizon 5: Horizon Realms will get a new Stadium Track in Horizon Realms, alongside a collection of 11 returning Evolving World locations.

Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members also will see Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone – Game Pass Pack 1 avaliable starting April 15, 2025.
