- Players can skip boss fights in the upcoming Death Stranding 2.
- After skipping, players watch a series of cut scenes with text descriptions.
- Hideo Kojima announced the feature during his KOJI10 radio show.
While talking on the KOJI10 radio show, Hideo Kojima revealed that players will be able to skip boss fights in the upcoming Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. The feature becomes available after a select number of tries – after which a “continue” option will be presented to the player.
Clicking the ‘continue’ button will skip boss fights entirely, a feature catered towards gamers who are not so adept at action-based gameplay. Instead of experiencing the battle, the player watches a series of screen shot cut scenes, where text descriptions explain what happened, similar to a visual novel. This skipping option is presumed to be in easy mode.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach allows players to control Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) as he embarks on a new mission of human connection beyond the United Cities of America (UCA). The game’s release date is on June 26, 2025, and initially debuting as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Death Stranding 2’s predecessor has amassed over 20 million players, earning widespread critical acclaim and popularity. The title was initially released in 2019 exclusively on PlayStation, but the first entry in the series has been released on multiple platforms since its initial launch in 2019. It is now available on PlayStation 4|5, both macOS and Windows PCs, Xbox Series X|S, iPhones, iPads and Amazon Luna.
