The game, available on both Android and iOS smartphones since its release on Sept. 16, 2020, tasks players with restoring an old mansion and uncovering family secrets by solving merge puzzles. Merge Mansion’s narrative centers around the protagonist, Maddie, whose grandmother, Grandma Ursula, owns the mansion.
Metacore’s title is known for its narrativly reach live-action advertising campaigns. The first one was created in 2021, featuring Oscar-winning Kathy Bates as Grandma Ursula and Grace Rex as Maddie. In early 2023, Merge Mansion started sharing new advertisements featuring actor Pedro Pascal. In the ad, Pascal plays detective Tim Rockford, who’s trying to capture a mysterious grandmother who is insinuated to have committed a murderous crime.
Reaching $600 million in lifetime revenue and 60 million downloads, Merge Mansion shows steady growth as the game had generated 400 million euros (428 million dollars at the time) and had been downloaded 50 million times by April 2024 and by August 2024, it revenue had grown to 500 million dollars, with total downloads reaching 55 million.
