IGN revealed the first gameplay footage of The Outer Worlds 2 – a title slated to release sometime in 2025. The gameplay features a quest where the player infiltrates the N-Ray Facility, showcasing the title’s new mechanics.
According to IGN, The Outer Worlds 2 keeps its core identity as a first-person RPG, but implements a new true stealth system, featuring silent takedowns, new melee weapons and skills.
Fallout: New Vegas served as inspiration when developing The Outer Worlds 2, which appears evident through the myriad of in-game choices and consequences made available to the player.
Movement has also been tweaked, allowing for faster mobility options while performing gunplay. IGN claims that there was little to share regarding the game’s story as of the gameplay preview. The news outlet is slated to receive more coverage of the title throughout the month of April – providing exclusive insight to the unreleased game.
