Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is planned for release in early access in the second quarter of 2025, coinciding with the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The game will feature traditional for the Heroes of Might & Magic series turn-based system and will also bring role-playing mechanics that were not present in previous installments of the franchise. Besides the single-player, the title will support multiplayer and co-op modes, as well as a map editor.
The new game in the Heroes of Might & Magic universe will feature six different towns: Temple, Necropolis, Sylvan, Dungeon, and Hive, with the last faction yet to be revealed.
Music for the upcoming Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era will be written by one of the main composers of the previous entries in the series, Paul Romero and Cris Velasco, well known for working on such games as Mass Effect, God of War and Starcraft II. Romero’s scores for Heroes of Might & Magic were so popular that he was ‘obliged’ to compose his first symphony based on the best musical themes from the games. His Symphony No. 1, completed in 2008 was entitled Heroes.
