Ubisoft Promptly Adds Nudity Back to Far Cry 4

|
- Ubisoft mistakenly removed nudity in Far Cry 4.
- The main character was given a loin cloth, and boobs were censored.
- Nudity was promptly added back, allowing for private regions to flop around freely.
Ubisoft censored nudity on Far Cry 4’s Steam version – the update was implemented on April 4. This prompted confusion among the community, as the game is more than 10 years old now. The censorship was a mistake on Ubisoft’s end; community developer Patricia openly communicated with r/farcry, highlighting exactly what happened.
“We confirmed that there was a mistake during a recent update: content meant specifically for the Japanese version of the game was mistakenly uploaded to the worldwide (WW) version on Steam. This resulted in unintended changes, including censored models and assets,” Ubisoft community developer told Reddit.
The issue at hand caused a slight panic attack on Ubisoft’s end – the game has since been rolled back, with nudity once again prevailing. This means that the main character’s dong can be seen in a brief scene, and that bare chested females can be seen throughout the game once again.
Far Cry 4 released on November 18 of 2014. The title is available on PC, PlayStation 3/4, Xbox One and 360. The open world game action-adventure game supposedly sold over 10 million copies, and is set in the fictional country of Kyrat, a region with diverse landscapes.
