Hollow Knight: Silksong is officially confirmed for a 2025 release – news that was revealed during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct livestream on April 2. The broadcast showcased a short teaser for the upcoming title, revealing “2025” towards the bottom left, indicating the release year. No other updates were provided.
Originally conceived as downloadable content for the acclaimed platformer Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong has evolved into a full-fledged sequel. The original title saw over 6.4 million copies sold on Steam, with the Nintendo Switch version having sold over 250,000 copies within the first two weeks of release.
Developed by Team Cherry, the project, announced six years ago, has seen its scope significantly expand.
