Pac-Man on mobile devices is being shut down by Bandai Namco on May 30. The title was available on iOS and Android devices since March 20, 2013 – marking more than a decade-long lifespan.

The mobile iteration of the classic arcade game will still be available until the specified date, but the in-game transactions are no longer available. Pac-Man mobile’s shut down aligns with the franchise’s 45th Anniversary, which they are celebrating with live events, museum exhibitions, and new iterations of the genre defining title.

Pac-Man mobile has several game modes, allowing for players to not only experience the classic maps, but also presents revamped levels and abilities that provide more modernized gameplay mechanics, such as power-ups and levels that have a proper conclusion. It even has a Tournament Mode, where players compete with one another for high scores to rank on a leaderboard.

Since its launch in 2013, Pac-Man mobile has accumulated over 100 million downloads on the Google Play Store, currently sitting at 4.4 stars out of 5 for community based reviews.
