On April 1, 2025, Bandai Namco revealed a new upcoming playable character for the Elden Ring Nightreign DLC: Ironeye. Ironeye uses swift movement and a bow to slay his enemies. One of the signature moves appears to be a wall jump, reminiscent of parkour, after which Ironeye shoots his arrow downwards.
As of April 1, the character’s core abilities are not yet known. But Eurogamer does speculate that the class will be able to backstab with arrows from behind – indicated by the gameplay trailer. Since players can revive others with an attack in Elden Ring: Nightreign, Ironeye’s ranged options provide versatility during intense boss fights.
Here are four additional classes debuting in Elden Ring: Nightreign:
- Wylder:Swings a great sword and shield alongside an arm-mounted crossbow.
- Guardian: A heavy hitting tank with hefty stamina and hp.
- Dutchess: A speedy glass cannon rogue type character that wields a dagger.
- Recluse: Utilizes magic for long-ranged spells.
These are the four confirmed classes, five including Ironeye. Other speculated classes to join are Executor, Duelist, Healer, and summoner – a class that was leaked through a datamine. The latter list has not been confirmed by FromSoftware.
Elden Ring: Nightreign releases on May 30. Publisher Bandai Namco revealed the player statistics for their playtest of Elden ring: Nightreign, indicating a total of 23,627,489 attacks were used to save down Nightfallers.
