Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is rolling out a weed-themed mid-season event titled Blaze of Glory, featuring stoner icon crossovers, gameplay modifiers, and a new limited-time mode. The update continues Activision’s trend of cannabis-related content, following previous collaborations with Snoop Dogg and Cheech & Chong.
Headlining the event are Jay and Silent Bob, the cult characters from Kevin Smith’s Clerks franchise. The duo will be added as playable operators, with an optional skin bundle transforming them into their comic book alter-egos Bluntman and Chronic. The collaboration was confirmed by Smith in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The event also introduces Joint Operations, a limited-time mode that fuses five standard game types — Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, HVT, and Kill Confirmed — into a single match. Each is renamed with cannabis-inspired titles such as “Hotbox” and “Munchies.” During matches, players will experience modifiers including double health, low gravity, third-person perspective, and hallucinatory visual effects.
A redesigned version of the classic Nuketown map, now titled Blazetown, will also be featured during the event.
While Blaze of Glory leans heavily into cannabis culture, it isn’t the only content planned for the season. Players will also receive access to the new Ladra submachine gun, additional perks, and conversion kits as part of the event’s unlockable rewards. According to Activision’s blog, Blaze of Glory is one of multiple in-game events scheduled this season, alongside Black Ops Tribute and Got Your Six.
The new season begins April 2, with classic Warzone map Verdansk returning one day later.
