- War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is shutting down on May 29.
- A live stream will be held where the developers will discuss the roadmap leading to the game’s closure.
- War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was released in November 2019 in Japan, with the Global version following in March 2020.
On a Twitter post published on March 25, the developers behind War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius notified its playerbase about the game’s shutdown. The final day of the game’s service will be May 29.
“We’ve come to the conclusion that it would be difficult to maintain a satisfactory app experience, and therefore to discontinue the app service,” the post reads. Visiore–the currency used by players to roll on the game’s gacha banners to get characters–cannot be purchased with real money anymore. In addition, Special Shop sales were also discontinued.
After the game ends its service, the developers will delete the accounts of the players for security reasons. The post also mentioned that in-game events will continue to be held until the end of service.
The developers also announced that they will be holding a live stream on March 26 to share the roadmap leading up to the game’s closure.
It’s currently unknown if only the Global version of the game is closing. The Japanese version of the game doesn’t have the same announcement on its Twitter account as of writing.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius is developed by Square Enix and Gumi Inc. The game was released in November 2019 in Japan and March 2020 worldwide. The game is available on mobile devices.
