- Guilty Gear: Strive was released in 2021.
Guilty Gear: Strive’s newest DLC character, Venom, will join the roster on March 24. Venom is a returning character who uses billiard balls and billiard cue sticks to fight his opponents.
During Arc World Tour 2024, Arc System Works released a trailer featuring Venom which shows off his moves in action. The developers also released a starter guide video much later.
Venom excels in controlling space and mix ups. His billiard balls also have a property on them that makes them act like projectiles and bounce around the screen. This can make it hard for other characters to look for opportunities to get out of a precarious situation once Venom has set up his billiard balls all over the screen.
In addition to this, the developers also announced updates that will come to the game in the near future. This includes:
- Ranked Match Mode implementation around June to August 2025.
- Frame Data Display feature
- Unika, the DLC character following Venom, releasing in May.
Venom is the second DLC character in Guilty Gear: Strive’s Season Pass 4. The first character in the pass is Queen Dizzy, who was released in October 2024. Unika will follow Venom in May. Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners will join the roster in Summer 2025.
Guilty Gear: Strive was released in June 2021 for the PlayStation 4 & 5 and PC. An Xbox One and Series X/S followed in 2023 with a Nintendo Switch version wrapping everything up with its own version in January 2025.
