5,874 T1 Fans Assemble to Condemn CEO Joe Marsh, Demanding the Executive’s Resignation

5,874 T1 fans assembled to send a letter condemning the acts of T1’s CEO, Joe Marsh. In addition to the letter, they also sent a truck to the headquarters, which publicly criticizes the executive. The fans demand Joe Marsh resign immediately.

The letter brings up three main points: 

• The CEO’s interference in the coaching staff’s authority is an obvious abuse of power and a violation of the fairness and autonomy of sports. 
• The selection of starting players must be based on skill, not emotional reasoning. 
• This decision directly contradicts the spirits of sports and has damaged T1’s reputation. 

Their main sentiment is essentially that CEO Joe Marsh is too heavily involved in the roster of T1. They criticize his public posts, which are “based on subjective sentiments” rather than “objective performance metrics.” 

After listing out their criticism, the fans provide a list of demands. Their first demand is that T1 CEO Moe Marsh officially apologizing for “infringing on the authority of the coaching staff,” and that he “must resign immediately.” Their second demand is that T1 must be transparent in their internal politics. The final demand is that T1 must develop strong measures to prevent this situation from reoccurring. 

This is not the first case of harshly worded letters from LCK fans – in fact, it is a recurring theme among passionate Korean esports fans.
