Epic Games Debuts Fortnite OG Season 3 on March 25

Fortnite OG Season 3 arrives on March 25 – featuring shooting stars streaking across the sky. This season of OG Fortnite references the Meteor Strike, which was one of Fornite’s first in-game events that they released. 

In the event, a large meteor steadily approached ground level as the event progressed. During the finale, the meteor makes an impact with the map – transforming the locale into Dusty Divot.  

The previous Fortnite OG season debuts were followed up by remixed versions of classic skins, resulting in a reporter from MSN speculating a rerelease of the following skins: 

• Mission Specialist: a space-themed outfit.
• Rust Lord: a Mad Max-inspired outfit.
• Dark Voyager: a sleek astronaut suit with glowing accents.
• The Reaper: a skin resembling John Wick.

Each season of Fortnite OG thus far lasted a little less than two months. This places Fortnite OG season 3 ends towards the end of May. Therefore, the meteor will once again make impact with the earth at a speculated date of late May, marking the conclusion of season 3 and ushering in season 4.

Fortnite OG revisits the previous seasons of Fortnite, allowing players to experience a long-lost version of the battle royale. The developers kept many of the iconic gameplay mechanics that have since been removed from the early seasons of Fortnite while implementing a number of quality-of-life changes to polish the experience.
