Five new indie titles are coming to Playstation 5 this year according to the announcement within Sony’s initiative Playstation Indies.
Forever Skies, developed and published by Far From Home, is coming on April 14. The co-op survival game is set in a world ravaged by environmental collapse. In Forever Skies, players can team up with three friends or scavenge resources and craft tools solo.
The Knightling, developed by Twirlbound and published by Saber Interactive, is set for launch on Aug. 28. The game is set in the mysterious land of Cornered Bosk, where the player takes on the role of the aspiring knight equipped with only a shield, Magnustego, in search of the missing mentor, Sir Lionstone.
Ruffy and the Riverside, developed by Zockrates Laboratories UG and published by Phiphen Games, is coming on June 26. The game introduces the magical Swap ability, a mechanic that allows Copy & Paste textures within the game, turning ice into lava or waterfalls into vines. In Ruffy and the Riverside, players control an adventurous bear, Ruffy, as they traverse a hand-drawn world.
Possessor(s), developed by Heart Machine and published by Devolver Digital, is also coming to PS5 later this year without any specific date yet. In this action-packed side-scroller set in the ruins of Sanzu City, players control a human possessed by a demon, forming a symbiotic relationship to survive the city’s chaos.
Skate Story by Sam Eng with Devolver Digital as the publisher is also coming to PS 5 without clearance on the date yet. In this game, players step into the role of a demon in the Underworld, made out of glass and pain, tasked by the Devil with a simple deal – to skate to the Moon and swallow it to be freed.
