Key points
  1. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 has taken the top spot in Amazon’s Best-Selling GPUs list, replacing AMD’s RX 9070 XT.
  2. Nvidia claims that it has shipped twice as many RTX 50 GPUs in the first five weeks compared to the same period for the RTX 40 series.
  3. At the moment, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 OC edition is the most popular among RTX 5070s.

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 has taken the top spot in Amazon’s Best-Selling GPUs list, replacing AMD’s RX 9070 XT after a week with AMD at the forefront.

Specifically, the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 OC edition helped the GeForce RTX 5070 surge ahead, claiming Amazon’s number one. This follows the RTX 5070’s launch, which occurred just before the RX 9070 series debuted.

In the race to the top, Nvidia’s RTX 5070 has ousted the RX 9070 XT, which had previously reigned supreme on the list. While AMD’s cards had a strong showing early on, largely due to better availability, demand for the RTX 50 series has pushed them out of the top spots. The only RX 9070 XT to make it into the top 20 is the PowerColor’s Reaper RX 9070 XT edition, and even that is facing stock issues.

And it’s not just the RTX 5070 that’s climbing the ranks. Nvidia’s RTX 50 series has now infiltrated several positions in Amazon’s top-selling GPUs, with cards like the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti appearing alongside older models such as the RTX 4060 and RTX 3060. The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 16GB OC edition is also making waves, securing the number eight spot.

Despite AMD’s RX 7000 series remaining popular, with models like the RX 7600 XT, RX 7800 XT, and RX 7900 XTX continuing to capture attention, as of now, the overall trend strengthens Nvidia’s position. The RTX 50 series has rapidly replaced many of AMD’s top performers due to the release of more custom editions and growing availability.

On top of that Nvidia claims that it has shipped twice as many RTX 50 series GPUs in the first five weeks of their release compared to the same period for the RTX 40 series.
