- These numbers are based on Famiboard public data.
Famiboard public data supposedly revealed that 383,000 units of the Nintendo Switch 2 were shipped to the United States from January 17 and January 22. A Reddit user discovered and shared this figure, while also noting that 41,598 Joycon charging units for the Switch 2 were potentially shipped as well.
The shipment figure for the Nintendo Switch 2 is based off of publicly available codes. Users utilize preexisting codes of prior products to estimate which codes correlate with specific shipment – with multiple users correlating the codes to discover information regarding the Nintendo Switch 2.
Codes for the Nintendo Switch 2 are assumed to be the following:
“HGU1100 is the console, HGU1110 is the left Joy-con, HGU1120 is the right Joy-con, and HGU1130 is the dock. […] There are enough different listings that hint at this being the case, and it matches how the numbers HGU0700, HGU0710, HGU0720, and HGU0730 were used for the original Switch.”
As for the 41,598 charging unit for the Joycons, the figure was found by tracking the product code is BEE-A-ESSKA, which mirrors the Switch 1’s charging grip’s product code: HAC-A-ESSKA.
The Nintendo Switch 2’s release date is still unannounced. A French publisher, Nacon, believes that the Switch 2 will be released before October based on a financial report they published in January.
