Hololive VTuber Franchise Steps Into Mobile Gaming with Rhythm-Based Title

|
- Project DREAMS, Hololive’s debut mobile title, will be a rhythm-based game.
- The upcoming title is planned for simultaneous worldwide release.
- The game’s launch date and details about the gameplay and mechanics remain unknown.
A rhythm-based game was officially announced by the virtual YouTuber franchise Hololive Production as its first mobile title under the project code name DREAMS.
The mobile debut was unveiled at Hololive’s 6th Anniversary Festival during the Color Rise Harmony (the company’s Idol project) performance on March 9, 2025, promising to feature a vast collection of Hololive music.
While launch date and details about the gameplay and mechanics remain scarce, project DREAMS is set to launch worldwide, with Hololive’s catalog of original songs and covers likely making an appearance.
This game is Hololive’s first official mobile offering, but it isn’t the company’s first foray into gaming. Previous projects such as ERROR and Evil God Korone have presented Hololive’s VTuber franchise in the gaming market.
Project DREAMS comes at a time when the Hololive community is undergoing significant changes, with several high-profile graduations, including Murasaki Shion, Minato Aqua, and Ceres Fauna.
It is worth noting that in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025, Cover Corporation reported a revenue of approximately $80.16 million., marking a 49.8% year-over-year increase. This growth is attributed to new VTuber debuts, expanded licensing deals, and increased merchandise sales, including the successful launch of the Hololive official card game.
