The new season of Cowboys & Ninjas brings the Looney Tunes crossover and a new game mode called Stumblewood to the Stumble Guys.

The star of the game’s update is Stumblewood, a new game mode that transforms Stumble Guys into a third-person shooter for the first time ever. In this team-based elimination mode, players must master the roll mechanic (which replaces diving) to dodge attacks, take cover, and reposition themselves on the fly. Each team competes to rack up the most eliminations before time runs out.

Stumblewood mode introduces a whole new combat system, including:

  • Health and Shields, meaning players spawn with 100 health and 50 armor points,
  • Rolling Mechanic, which acts as a dodge move and grants temporary invulnerability,
  • Pickups guarantee that health and shield boosters spawn across the map,
  • Weapon Selector offers players to choose a loadout at the start and swap on respawn,
  • Respawn Invulnerability provides a short immunity period after respawning,
  • Train Hazards is a surprise mechanic implemented as a moving train periodically slicing the battlefield in half, acting as both cover and a dynamic traversal tool,
  • The Player Stats Panel helps to keep track of eliminations, respawns, and personal performance.

On top of that, Looney Tunes returns to the game with the Factory Fiasco elimination map. The update also introduces six new Looney Tunes-themed Stumblers, a new victory animation, and an exclusive emote.

As of January 2023, Stumble Guys, developed by Kitka Games and later acquired by Scopely in September 2022, surpassed $81 million in lifetime revenue, with over 273 million downloads since its release in February 2021.

In the second quarter of 2024, Stumble Guys experienced a surge in downloads, reaching 45,500 toward the end of June, with weekly active users peaking at approximately 160,800 in mid-June.

The game is available on mobile, both Android and iOS, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, while PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions are in the works.
