  3. Issues include “performance/stablity, UI/UX, lighting, and weapon feel.”

Killing Floor 3 was delayed to an indefinite date in 2025 – meaning it will not release during the intended March 2025 release window. The game is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Tripwire Interactive, the development studio responsible for Killing Floor 3, stated that the game was delayed to “maintain the core experience that you’ve come to know and love.”

“With the full support of our parent company Embracer Group, we’re working together on a timeline to address many of the common issues players had during the beta, including performance/stability, UI/UX, lighting, and weapon feel,” they said in their public announcement.

Though the developers could not specify every fix they plan on implementing, they did promise that players will be able to independently select perk classes and characters – a feature participants from the beta had asked for.

According to levvvel, the original Killing Floor 1 was released as a mod in 2005, eventually becoming a retail game in 2009 – the game reportedly sold over 2.5 million copies on PC. As for the sequel, Killing Floor 2 released in 2016 and supposedly sold over 8.8 million copies on Steam.
