Marvel Snap New Season Debuts the Prehistoric Avengers Alongside Gameplay Updates

Marvel Snap’s new season update adds the Prehistoric Avengers – the first band of superheroes. These characters are essentially prequel heroes to the famous Avengers. 

Among the cast of new characters is Agamotto, the first sorcerer supreme. He appears to be the new season pass card. The other new characters are sprinkled throughout the season, added on a week by week basis. Here is the planned release schedule for the new Marvel Snap characters:  

Mar 4th:

• Eson
• Beta Ray Bill
• Wiccan

Mar 11th:

• Starbrand
• Skaar
• Phastos

Mar 18th:

• Firehair
• Cassandra Nova
• Nico Minoru

Mar 25th:

• Khonshu
• Scorn
• Corvus Glaive

In addition to new characters, Marvel Snap is also adding new locations. Here are the new locations, alongside their effects: 

• Star Brand Crater: If you have 10 or more Power here, +1 Energy each turn.
• Celestial Burial Ground: Discard a card. Replace it with one that costs the same.

From March 21 to March 28, the game mode “High Voltage” returns. This game mode accelerates the standard match’s pace. The official Marvel Snap website has more details regarding the return of High Voltage.

Marvel Snap was released in June 2022 to a positive reception. GameSpot rated the game 9/10 with NME giving it a perfect 5-star rating. The game also won the “Best Mobile Game” in The Game Awards 2022.
