The Suikoden franchise is about to get a new installment called Star Leap. Konami has announced that the upcoming RPG adventure is set to launch on both Android and iOS and will become the first mobile game in the series.
The new title, which is being in development by MYTHRIL, is coming after a long break in the franchise since the release of Suikoden: Tactics in 2012.
The upcoming title is set to feature a blend of pixel art style and 3D backgrounds. According to Konami, the mobile game aims to stay true to the series’ roots while introducing a new storyline and characters, with players encountering 108 new stars.
The Suikoden Star Leap’s narrative follows Hero, the village chief’s son, whose life is upended after an unexpected attack during a celebratory hunt. It is already known that the game’s protagonist is about to share the journey with Hisui, Shirin, and Shapur.
